Hope everyone had a nice long weekend, I know I did! Here’s what’s up in KD this week:
Guided Reading- we will be doing Guided Reading in the classroom this week, no books will be sent home. We will send books home next week!
Literacy- we are thinking about our writing this week, and writing “How To…” books. Our big book is a “How to…” book called Grass Heads, so it gives us some great ideas on writing.
In math we will be beginning our unit on Geometry and Measurement, and we will be looking at 3D shapes. We always have a lot of fun with these two units, a great way to end our year in math for sure.
Here are some things to be aware of:
May 30- New Kindergarten children come to visit- NO SCHOOL for Kindergarten children ONLY this day. If you have an older child, they still have school, only Kindergarten children have the day off. Thank you for your understanding!

It is that time of year, when we collect the school supplies fees for the 2014-2015 school year. The cost per child is $35.00. This fee can be paid on line on the following website: www.schoolonline.com or you can send in the money to your homeroom teacher and they will issue a receipt. The deadline for school supply fees are Friday, June 6.
There will be a bake sale on Thursday, May 22 at noon. All items will be $1. Funds raised will go towards one of our former bus driver’s project in Peru (Help a Child wear Shows in Peru).
Canadian Tire Money
We are once again collecting money to purchase prizes for our Spring Fling. Canadian Tire money can be placed in the bin outside the office door.
