It’s my favourite day of the year, the Sunday after Daylight Savings Time ends. I love it for various reasons, mostly because of that wonderful “extra hour”. We had a great day on Friday. Wore our costumes, ate some food, played, ate some food, played games, ate some food… (you get the idea). Here’s what’s in store for this week:
We are beginning a new book/author study- we will be reading the Mrs. Wishy-Washy series this month. These are fun stories about a woman, Mrs. Wishy-Washy, her animals, and the struggles they get into. We will have a lot of fun with these books!
So far, our sight words have been See, Can, Do. This week we will add The. Our letters have been: F, D, P and this week we will add B and R.
In math we will do more with the numbers 4 and 5.
The room has been moved around a bit, the children will see on Monday. I hope they enjoy the surprise!
Things to take note of this week:
Monday is Day 3 (library day- please return all library books!)
Remember Parent/Teacher interviews coming up this Thurs/Fri. There is NO School Friday. If you’ve forgotten the time, please let me know!
Next Tuesday, Nov. 11, is Remembrance Day. Please note that there is no school that day.
Have a great week, and enjoy the “extra hour” today!
