It was so good to be back to class today! Hopefully we’ll have a good, solid 3 weeks from now until March Break!
Here’s what’s up this week:
If you’d like your child to purchase popcorn on Tuesday, please send a dollar in with them.
On Wednesday it is “Pink Shirt” day- a day to focus on standing up to bullying. Please consider sending your child in with some pink on!
Parent/Teacher interview forms went home today. If the time assigned does not work for you, please let me know! I can always meet a different day than Thursday or Friday too.
In literacy, we are focusing on the letters W and Z and the sight words Look, Like, Love. We are also putting our effort into our writing and reading!
In regards to guided reading books, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! By the time your child brings that book home they have read it with me at least 2 times, so it will be a familiar text. Also please note that the books need to be returned on Thursdays. We have activities where we need to use our books, so they do need them!
In math we finished up the number 7 today and will move on to the number 8.
We were hoping to have a Chinese New Year/Spring Festival celebration last week. Since that didn’t work out, we will be having it on Thursday! This should be fun and informative for the children.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
