It’s hard to believe but your child is just two days short of completing Kindergarten! Can you believe it? It seems like just a week ago they were coming in all bright eyed and excited about the new year. Now, they are old hands. It’s a bittersweet time for sure!
Just a few notes about these last two days:
Tuesday morning is our Field Day. We spend the morning, before recess, outside playing some fun games and relays. It’s always a fun morning. We’ll come in and have a regular rest of the day.
Wednesday is the last day of school. Report Cards will be going home this day. We will have a fun day, and we’ve all been talking about maybe a movie in the afternoon. If anyone wants to send in some treats, you are more than welcome to, but please do not feel obligated!
We had some fun with musical instruments this year, and telling stories with music. Today we recorded ourselves telling a couple of stories, and tomorrow we will record ourselves with some songs. My plan is to load them onto a powerpoint (that seems to be the easiest way to transfer videos and audios). I will share them via e-mail with all of you.
I can’t wait to find out the story of this block! Whatever it is, it certainly looks intense! I wonder what that poor guy did to be put behind bars!
And just as we were getting ready to go home, the dumpster came right outside our window! Of course we had to watch to see what they would do with it. The hydraulics were our favourite part, by the way!
It has been a pleasure working with your children and you this year. Please enjoy your summer, and please take time to do absolutely nothing but play!
